Article writing versus PPC sites.

I have officially made more money on a PPC site than I have working my butt off writing articles online. This is just sad. What do you make the most money from? Articles, PPC, surveys, PTG? Which ones do you enjoy doing the most? I definitely enjoy writing articles more because I feel brain dead when I'm doing PPC and surveys. Especially surveys--after 3 days of them, I can't do them anymore. It's not worth it. A lot of them are also really dumb in that they have you answer a lot of questions and then say you aren't qualified! Doesn't make any sense...

If you are writing articles that pay per impression, you need to learn SEO to get more people viewing your articles. What sites are you writing to? If you are a good writer you should be writing for sites that pay you upfront.

I'll be honest, I'm terrible with SEO so far, but I'm earning decently with Demand Studios. You will pull out your hair with the first few articles you write, but once you get used to their strict formatting requirements, you will be writing articles more quickly. Finding assignments you can write to is difficult -- not because they don't have many but because many of the titles are worded awkwardly, and some make no sense at all. However, I can usually find 3 titles within 10-15 minutes of searching, and then researching and writing takes me between 40-60 min per article. If you only choose $15 articles and follow their guidlines, you can be making over $15/hour, which in my opinion, is great for working from home if you're not famous and writing for a newspaper or national magazine or something.

I agree. I prefer writing articles, but the brainless sites seem to pay more, or at least more frequently. And I don't want to write for sites that require you give up your ownership rights to your own work. Who knows what they will do with it? I still make the most money on Ebay--I sell stuff, and people buy it. It is time-intensive, but at least I am cleaning out my house while I am doing it!
