New Beserk anime / myLot

This one has been floating around for a while now but it looks we are making a bit of progress. While not a fan of Beserk myself I'm really impressed by the violence and goriness of this series. It was one of the first anime I ever saw and I was shocked by all that violence and gore. I was even more shocked to learn that the anime version was really tame compared to the manga. But the first anime covered the first 13 volumes of the manga. Now there is 35 volumes of it released so there's more material to use. I'm curious to see if the new anime is a continuation of where the first left off, or is it starting over, or is it just a bunch of OVA shorts. Anyone else have any thoughts on this series?

Berserk offers so much more than just gore and violence. Give it a try and you'll become a fan. As for anime, I'll see it if it comes out. I'm not hoping for anything.

I've actually read quite a bit of the series but it was a while back. The story was interesting but I couldn't get past the violence or something. Maybe I'll give it another chance since my taste has changed quite a bit since I first read the manga.
