it's been a while since i was able to buy something for my baby. a few weeks ago i had to undergo a surgery to remove my gallbladder and needless to say, it left me physically unable to do quite a number of things including taking care of my baby. i know it sounds frustrating and believe me, it is. but i am starting to heal now and just this morning i was able to walk to a nearby store and i bought my baby his favorite snack: yogurt! ah, seeing my baby's smile...PRICELESS!!!

hi michik00, I'm hoping for your fast recovery. Our babies smile are so priceless and I can really relate to that because I have a 9 month old daughter. She's really active and smiles a lot so even though I just came home from work and exhausted, I still got the energy to take care of her whenever I see her. I bought a bee costume for my little girl today. :D Preparing for the halloween party :D I immediately tried it on her and she looks adorable!

I am very sad because I can not buy anything for my boys. Actually, my son wanted to eat pizza, but I can not buy. Because I do not have the money. Very sad, to see my boy, disappointed.

I bought them fruits. I know that would be good for them. And I bought them jigsaw puzzles as well to exercise their minds as well.

It is probably good that I am not in bed all day right now as I can do a lot of damage from the comfort of my computer. I recently was on a quest to fine Princess and the frog Tiana play shoes. That is the only dress up dress she has and no shoes for it. Ok I am really the problem her not her. Well I have called the company that makes them and everything I was on a mission and then I found them on EBAY!! But they were in a 5 pack and she had the others cause she got the 4 pack for her birthday, she got dress up clothes but they were so small I had to take them back so she just had the shoes. And someone got her one of the bigger dress up dress of tiana but no shoes. Ok I need to find a group or something I know but I found them and just the one pair and she was so excited when she got them and even told me "Mommy these match my dress" so all the pain was worth it for that response and the big smile on her face. It is so great when they are so excited and so happy when you get them something it is hard for me to control myself sometimes. But she will actually tell me no that she doesn't need whatever it is because she has one already. I must be doing something right.

welcome to the wonderful world of mylot. glad to hear that you are okay. true that when we parents can not have time to play or to take care of our child/children, it is frustrating. i have a four year old son which his photo appears as my avatar and he is a smile-a-lot-kid. so from sun up to sun down you can always see him smile. we also know if he is not feeling well for he is sad. later i will be going to starbux to buy him his favorite oreo cheese cake, and i will also make my wife smile with chocolate cake.

Hi, I seldom buy toys for my son, once a while is fine.but not always. I don't want him to have a habit of always getting new toy. Of course, small kid always want this and that and I always told my son that he has plenty of toys and he can play with them all the time. Of course, I do buy him some healhty snacks and I don't like to keep too much snacks at home.

I was thinking about this just yesterday, I have a certain little girl that I have not been able to financially buy anything for in quite some time. So yesterday, I went into my neighborhood Walgreen's and was so enlightened by all the Halloween items and candy. I will not be able to see the little girl for Halloween, but she is coming to visit me this Sunday, so I immediately grabbed a basket and began to go through all the wonderful novelties. I had to take quite sometime as I had to resist spending more than I actually could afford. Long story short, I bought the cutest pumpkin basket, a few novelties and some candy.. Oh how I can't wait until Sunday to see the joy on her face. For a moment I felt like a kid admiring all the items and wishing I could get so many of them for her. But I did good and did not spend much. So as you posted, when she gets this basket of goodies it will too be PRICELESS!!

I was lucky when i had my gallbladder out, it was a quick recovery. They were able to remove it laproscopically, so there was a quick turn around time. i splurge on books for my almost 2 year old. She loves books, and i love to read to her. Everytime I am at the second hand store, I get her a book.
