In the second episode of the second season, we see 2 stars appear as guests on the show. John Stamos plays Carl, a dentist who is the current love interest Emma. Britney Spears appears as … a hallucination? Aside from her songs being used in this episode, I don’t know what her role was. The episode would have been great if they could somehow mesh the Britney songs with an event on the show, but the Britney numbers turn out to be just anesthesia-induced hallucinations by everyone. Maybe the writers couldn’t come up with a way to mix the Britney songs with an event. Heather Morris, who played Brittany, was awesome. I always knew she was the best dancer of the Glee cast, and I am glad that she was able to showcase her talents in this episode. Her singing was just ok, but it’s not really horrible. She also looks like Britney Spears. When we first see her in Britney costumes, I thought it was the real Britney doing the number. Back to her dancing, it was pretty good. She also seem to know how to “strut” and pose for the camera, which makes me think she might have done some modeling. I didn’t like Santana’s number with Brittany (Me Against the Music). Brittany was great, but Santana’s movements seem awkward. Maybe it’s the director’s fault and he couldn’t get good shots of Santana that matches the beat of the song, but I think Santana needs a little more practice in posing and projection. If this is America’s Next Top Model, she would have been eliminated from the competition. I know we shouldn’t really tell someone what he can and can’t do, but I thought Artie joining the football team was ridiculous. First, they’ll have an unfair advantage because of his wheelchair. It’s a “device”, sort of like playing football with a baseball bat. Of course, there’s the issue of Artie’s well being. He’s so skinny, I don’t know if he’ll survive one game. The good news is… this is just a TV show! We won’t be worried about people getting hurt and stuff. Rachel ending the show with Paramore’s The Only Exception was another awesome. I love Paramore, so it was a pleasant surprise that Rachel sang their song before the episode ended. I have still yet to feel the overall plot of the season. Could it be the Will-Emma romance? Or Rachel-Finn? Who knows! I sure as hell don’t.

To be honest, this is probably the worst episode of all Glee so far. It consists of Big Lipped Alligator moments through anesthesia. And some of the jokes were squick. And Santana's number was indeed awkward, which is ironic considering that Naya Rivera works as a posing swimsuit model. However, we did get great dancing from Heather Morris (no wonder Beyonce was devastated to lose her "Token White Girl" backup dancer). She sang within a low range, but within range nevertheless, but the sequences wanted you to focus on her dancing rather than her singing, so it worked out. And the script improved for her. And Rachel's The Only Exception, this was the part where I knew I was going to root for RachelxFinn after I despised their shallow relationship in the first season. It was start of development for these two.

I think it was an awesome episode, I kept giggling through the whole thing, then for them to follow it up with Episode 3 and Kurt's dad, I should have known it would be something like that. Most shows follow a writing model like that, lighten the storyline before you slam head long into a heated or depressing story.

I read in a newspaper an interview with the producer or maybe director of glee(wasn't paying much attention to the WHO) and he revealed that in the middle of the season, Rachel and Finn are breaking up and Rachel will end up with Puck. He also revealed that Kurt is going to have a love affair but to whom was kept a secret. I'm guessing it's Finn.
