should we always believe what others say..?

I have been frank throughout my life and particularly in my youth I used to believe every one under the impression that they were telling the truth and what was in their mind.As I grew and in experience with men and matters I began to doubt some of the statements made by others about anything. I came to a stage when I began to suspect every one. Some were right and some were wrong.I became confused whether I should believe every one or suspect every one.I became miserable with these conflicting thoughts. Then I stopped interaction with others. That also is not very helpful. We have to mingle with people and at the same time we should be cautious...Please let me know your experience...

I think you should trust a person until they prove to you that they can't be trusted. Otherwise you're not giving anyone the benefit of the doubt and people will see that you are suspicious and those that are trustworthy will be offended by your lack of faith.

What you say is correct to a great extent.Unless we trust some one how can we carry on all alone. If one proves trust worthy we can carry on smoothly. If you get any suspicion about their trust worthiness you can stop further dealing with them. That appears to be the best solution...
