Puff the Magic Dragon is a sad song especially towards the end. Many say it has a hidden meaning about drugs like Puff (the name of the dragon) is associated with the puff from a smoke. And Honah Lee (where puff used to enjoy himself merrily) is believed to be the effect of getting high on drugs. But isn't it a bit unfair if the composer didn't suppose to mean those? I really find the song fun and touching that when Jackie Paper grew, he stopped visiting Puff on the Land of Honah Lee, its just so sad how young chinld, when they grow, imaginations fade, well, for me, its what the composer wanted to relay... How about you, What's this song for you? ^^

i only thought about it as a children's song. i never knew the song until the end anyway. Well, one thign can have many interpretations. If its about losing the child in everyone that'd be a bit sad.

yep, losing the child in us when we grow would be sad, but doesn't it have a tinge of truth?
