What kind of souvenirs do you usually buy?

Food items? Clothing? Something traditional? Something found really cheap in that particular country? I usually buy things I can't find in my own country and small gifts for my friends. Duty free shops are high on my list too.

I always try to find another costume doll to collect. In my home I have a shelf in a display case with all my costume dolls for the different countries that I have been to. In Romania I bought an unusual looking wooden doll. I visited South Africa last year and I bought a four bead dolls. In Kenya I bought some dolls that dress in the same way as the Masai Mara people. I sometimes buy a fridge magnet if it is a lovely design. Like I have a sea horse, a star fish and a fish as fridge magnets. When I get the chance I like to buy a miniature house. I buy some gifts for my mom and my sister.

That's the most strange I've heard so far. I once wanted to buy a miniature house from Italy but it was around 2.000 so I skipped that option!

when i go to places, i try to find a souvenir that is unique to that place alone. something that when you see this certain thing, or souvenir you know it is from that place. =) food is possible too.. but i only buy food souvenirs to be given to friends when requested and they know that that particular food is only found at the place i am going. =)

I collect snowglobes so I usually try to find one to signify my trip to wherever I go. I just got back from Disney World and decided to order my globe online to save weight on my luggage but I still will get one. I also usually get a shirt of some kind and a lot of items to use in my scrapbook like maps and tickets.

When I am in places where I think its beautiful to be remembered I usually buy things which reflect the place to gives as souvenirs and to also bring it at home for myself, I can better revive all the wonderful moments while seeing things which resembles the view. Buy small and less expensive souvenir about the country itself like the emblem, the animal representing the country, the chains, bracelets, earrings which are traditional there.

I usually buy some book, like tourists guides or something similar, I have now pretty big collection of these books. Kids usually buy snowballs or glassbox with 3d relief in it. Other things that I buy is usually something that represent this country or city that i am in.

I always buy fridge magnets - then they're always there to remind us of where we have been.

Hello Christinelle! I buy clothes only when i see something i really like. The usually souvenirs that i buy are little statues, thing to stamp to my fridge, ormaneltal and speciffic things. Of course, durin my stay in another place, i try only the traditional food, for later to remember, but i do not take it back home. Maybe search on goole to see how its done and cook it once if i really liked it :)

I like buying t-shirts for some reason. Every place you go usually has them. They are also often made in commemoration of events. Even if they aren't available at the event or location, you can almost always find them online :p
