Are you very particular about where you decide to live at?

I hate to say this about myself but I am. As I was looking for available places that I could rent from, I stumbled upon many options. I wanted to rent either one of these places. One of them was on the same street where an eighth month old baby had died. The baby died from (SIDS). Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. I felt so bad about the baby's death. But, I was just totally uncomfortable with living on the same street that a baby died on. There home was right near the place that I wanted to rent. Then there was another street that I wanted to live on, a man that lived on that same street killed another man in another county. He killed the man on the same street that I was considering renting. I changed my mind on this one too. I am very uncomfortable with renting from somewhere if I found out something bad has happened on the same street. I feel so sorry for the infant that passed away. The man whom killed the other man in another county, however did not have any excuses for what he did.

If you look at that way there is something that could have happened anywhere you go. I guess you have to just pick and chose and go with how you feel. It good that you have options to chose from. I would feel very badly for the this baby and the man as well. Alot of sadness in the world isn't there?

You have every right to be picky on where to settle down. I mean, you want a home where you'll be at peace especially after a hard day's work. Of course, it's okay to think about things like that...some are even particular about feng shui so it's a preference thing.

I don't usually know too much of a street's back history before I move into a house. Maybe I should be more picky and investigate. However, I do look at the surrounding area and availability of stores, amenities, etc. And, it helps to do a drive through of the neighborhood after dark to see how many people are milling around the neighborhood or playing loud music on a week night. In some places, people like to get drunk on Friday and Saturday night and play loud music and wake up the kids. I've learned to check out a neighborhood ahead of time rather than making the mistake of moving in and finding out after the lease is signed.
