Patricia Cornwell, anyone?

I've always been a fan of mystery/suspence novels, and when I first read one of her books in high school, I was hooked. I love her Kay Scarpetta series and it's one of my favorite collections. I love the characters, the plots, and sometimes, the darkness. She has this way of telling stories that I find so riveting. Does anyone share the same sentiments?

I have never read her books but I will keep an eye out for them now. I love reading and there is nothing better than a good story teller. I was hooked on VC Andrews and I like Amy Rice too. I am fixing to start a book by James Patterson. Do you have any suggestions for my first book by her?

Hi! If you want something dark, you can try reading Black Notice. It was interesting for me since it was kinda different from her usual books. Or you can also start with the beginning of the series, Post Mortem, so you can get to know the characters.

I tried reading one of her books starring Kay Scarpetta but I didn't really liked it that much. (I read Black Notice). Maybe it's not one of her best books? I'm pretty sure I read another book with Scarpetta in it but I can't remember the title. What Scarpetta book can you suggest to me? I did like Cornwell's investigation of Jack the Ripper. I thought she might have found the real Jack the Ripper.

i do. although i don't read much Patricia Cornwell these days, i used to read her Kay Scarpetta series. i love the plot and the characters as well. sadly, i'm hooked with James Patterson's Women's Murder Club series that i haven't had the chance to pick up Cornwell's books. now that you've mentioned it, i'd probably rush what i'm reading lately and grab a copy of her book.

BF's mother reads her books and we tend to have similar taste in books, so when I found her latest at the thrift store I picked it up. I have to say, I wasn't impressed and didn't even get through the first 50 pages. Lately, I enjoy those 'bestseller crime fiction' less and less :(
