Just this Monday when I woke up I had a fever. My throat felt bad and I had slight colds too. It was the start of my flu. On Tuesday I went to the hospital to get the right medicines for my flu and to have my platelet count just to make sure it's not dengue since it's very prevalent in our country nowadays. My results came and my platelet was 190! It's normal (150-450) but it's normally low. So I have to do things like eating our native fruit Durian! just to increase my platelet count. The next day, my fever was already gone and only my cough and colds remain. Also my platelet count was 220! So I'm safe. But still I'm not 100% capacity! I just had a thought, I should have gotten a flu vaccination early this year. Maybe next year I'll do it. I don't want to get sick for a whole week again! Is there a lot of flu cases where you live? What do you think about Flu vaccine?

It is the first time for me to know that Durian is good for platelet...

It's highly effective! I have proven it. You can also try to eat Balut (duck egg) or drink tawa-tawa. All very effective! But try to drink or eat one at a time or you'll might vomit them instead.

I had that bad headache too when I still had my fever.. The headache is natural since flu is viral. I suggest you get a cbc/platelet count if it is your 3rd day already. Please do! Also don't take too much of bioflu, it has PPA (Phenylpropanolamine)... instead take biogesic. PPA is bad for the health when taken in large dosages. It causes high risk in stroke. Drink plenty of fluids. I drank plenty of Getorade since it re-hydrates the body more effectively than water. As for your headaches ask your doctor what is best for it just to be sure. There are some allergic reactions to some medicine for headaches. Good luck! Get well soon!

Yeah. You can make it. Just eat plenty of fruits and take a lot of fluids, plus a lot a rest. The moment your immune system or your body's resistance to illness strengthens up, flu will fly away.. and you'll exclaim, "At last, the flu flew!"
