are you connected thru DSL, cable modem, or wireless? i used to have a broadband connection for almost 3 years. but right now, the company that i applied for that connection is no good. they just cut my connection with out any notices and all, what pissed me off is i dont have any balances or dues to them. they just said to my helper that they will just upgrade the antena or what so ever. what i did is i called them and there is no clear reason why they cut my connection. i didnt bother to go to their office. what i did is, i bought a stick its like a USP stick, where you can buy a load then you can now browse to the internet. its a bit slow sometimes but thats fine. the only problem i have now is my previous online business i cannot log in cause my ip address settings changed. any body here knows how to changed it? please?

I access the internet thru cable because right now this is the fastest way to access the internet for your content be they browsing, youtube or watching movies. Here is a link to get a good cable modem: Wireless routers will then be needed to get the content from the cable modem to your devices be they your smart phone, tablets, smart TV, PCs etc Here is a good wireless router to check out: http://www.squidoo.com/effective-technology
To buy the new Motorola SB6141 or SB6121? That's a tough choice. Really? Actually not if you read on. You will be able to find out all about cable modems, DOCSIS 3. 0 and why a DOCSIS 3. 0 cable modem can provide you the unprecedented speed in this lens. H

Hi carrine, I access internet connection via broadband. Ethernet network able is needed to connect from the modem or router to the Ethernet card. It works after preparing the internet connection given by the internet service provider. It's rather disappointed that there is only a single ethernet port to connect to the router. We couldn't access network whenever my son is back to hometown. Therefore we purchased another router later. It's a wireless 802.11g adsl2 plus ethernet modem router. We are happy we could surf net at the same time after having such facility Have a nice day

Hi Carrine. Your IP address changed because you changed internet service providers. These will sometimes change when you have the same internet service, although rare, however the IP address always changes when you change your internet service. I would suggest going into their customer service area of their web site and sending them an email, if you can't get something sent to you direct. Also, if you can find an email service that will forward the email from your previous email address to your current email address, then you should be able to get your accounts updated by verifying the informatin that way. I currently use Verizon Wireless as my internet service provider. They are not as inexpensive as some of the ones that I have had in the past, but since I am mobile, it is very handy. Plus, I can take it with me when I go on vacation and such. In the past, I have had Comcast cable and Cricket wireless. Comcast was really fast, and I wish I could have both. Maybe in the near future. However, even though I have switched providers, I have continued to maintain the same email address for the past 12 years and hope to do so for many years to come. Good luck to you with your business. I hope that you are able to get this situation straightened out in the near future!

I'm using boardband now because it's much faster as compared to other ways of connection.. haha =D I used to have DSL and that's really slow.. haha =D Right now, i'm considering fiber optic which is said to be the fastest but it does not come cheap. PLus, it only works well if i'm surfing within my own country's sites.. haha =D As for your problem regarding ip address, there's a software out there which u have to buy, and it allows u to change your ip address.

I used the dial up for quite many years and until a few broadband company emerge. I changed to broadband after that. What you called it UBS stick is the USB WiFi modem, it is very convenience that can use it anywhere you like without linking to any permanent line. I think for your case, you need to check your modem setting, I believe there you will be able to change you IP address to the original one. Good luck!
