Well Ive started to edit my pictures I have taken and they are pretty good but was wondering what people think about taking pictures of friends and family for cheap and editing them and putting them on disc for them to have to print and what not I don't have a big camera but the one I do have takes dang good pictures and I want a better picture to do it with but for the time being thought it would be a good starter till I can get better one later on.Been thinking on it and I don't have a High school diploma or a GED so its hard for me to get a job outside my house would it be hard to do something like this without one so not sure what to say but I think you all will get the idea of it any thoughts would be great right now.

The majority of cameras can take great pictures. What you need to be sure of is not just is the picture technically great, but does it show your vision. It's not enough to just have great pictures from the camera, because anyone can do that. What you need to show is that you make the great pictures from the camera even better by knowing what you are doing. A picture may be great but if you didn't notice that tree in the background that now makes it look like a branch is growing out of the person's head, then it's not as great as it could have been. The same goes by knowing what not to do: Don't ever shoot a woman with her shoulders square to the camera because it makes her look wider than she actually is. Don't shoot someone who is wearing bright colors unless you know how to edit the color cast that the bright colors may be causing on the skin. Watch it that you don't cut people off at joints (at the knee, the ankle, the wrist, the elbow); it causes the image to look strange. What you need to do is to make sure you know how to compose images, and what effects the lighting has, and what the limitations of your camera are. Shoot some images now, and then study, and shoot some more. You will be amazed at how much you will have learned and how much more people will be willing to pay for those images. Good luck! (and I'm speaking from experience! I thought I was pretty good until I started studying more. Then I found out just how little I really knew. I was good before, but the difference in my images from then to now is HUGE).

Hi Sus020, I'm just starting out with this idea myself. I'll share what I've learned if you'd like. Send me a message if you're interested.
