The actual fact is that everyone has to retire one day and we need a substantial amount to retire comfortably. Chances are that only 5% of us will achieve that goal and the rest will suffer because of "Procastination". 2 elements which will have a major impact our retirement fund are the Returns and the Inflation, which unfortunately is not within our control. Since when you started to think about the retirement plan ? How are you going to achieve it ?

Retirement frightens my friend as look at how we are struggling while young just to obtain our basic needs, imagine being really old and not capable of certain things while younger. The economies down turn brings a great many questions for my future. However, I think I will one of those that get really old and still trying to earn, as I feel retirement will not be enough and to remain as active as I can. Good luck to all our our futures, many blessings to all.

Yes, normally we will get sick easier if we getting older and older. Well, if we don't plan now, I think our medical burden will eventually affect our next generation.

I have no plans to ever retire. If you think about it, our ancestors did not retire. When you quit working, you lose interest. Your body may actually deteriorate from lack of use. I hope by the time I am "retirement age" I will have figured out how to make a living on the computer.

Well, it's good if someone can work until very old age. It's a good way to keep physically and mentally active.
