Kawah Ijen is a volcanic crater lake in East Java. It is has an active crater with a large lake in it. The most notable thing about it are the steaming sulphur deposits around its edges which are mined by hand and then carried out by hand by miners who carry incredible loads of blocks of solid sulphur rocks weighing 50-70 kilograms each. If you go to this amazing place, be very careful if you take the narrow rocky trail into the crater itself - the strong sulphur fumes in the crater can be overpowering and are potentially very dangerous.
