As we known, In some colleges, students are permitted to pick out their course's professors freely. Some people agree with it. Because students can choose the teacher according to their interest, which will be helpful for their future careers. Besides, selecting courses can reduce the rate of students' absence indirectly for students usually choose their favorite teachers. But some people disagree with it. They say that this let-alone policy will be difficult to manage all of the students in the college. What's your opinion on this phenomenon?

We don't really have different professors teaching the same courses at my college, but I think at other colleges they do. I think it's an excellent idea because students can choose whatever professor they most want to take the course from. Syllabuses will be different and they can pick whichever one they want. I wished at my school we could pick the TA section we wanted because some TAs were better than others and I'm sure it's the same with professors.

Yes, though the system still have some problems to solve, it is an excellent idea that students can choose the courses they like.

Well this seems like a good idea in theory, but not a good idea in practice. There might be one or two teachers that are rather popular, because everyone likes their teaching styles. Therefore, it is going to be packed. It is going to hard to balance everything. That option is not available where I am going to school, but it is something that is happening something these days. Yeah, its a nice thing in theory like I said. However, there will be an imbalance. The only thing would be that it might send a warning flag about teacher's who are not that good, when hardly anyone is choosing them. Of course, this might work if it is limited to students who get a certain grade point average, who get their first choice and everyone else takes what they get. This could really encourage better grades.

Thanks for your response. Just as you said, I also think this system isn't very good. But many colleges put this measure into practice now. Maybe this system also has the advantage that the students know what they wanted by themselves. I think the administer should balance all the influence factors in the system.
