If starting a band, what genre would you be in?

I studied piano for a couple of years but I haven't played for ages, and I definitely don't have enough skills to actually play in a band, but if I were to start or join one, it'd be a metal band for sure, since it's my favourite style of music :) I hope it goes well for you with that band!

If I were to start my own band I would like it to be either a rock or heavy metal band, maybe take our influences from bands like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and Metallica. Those are my favourite genres of music.

Of course, if you join a band that is already going, you will have to play the type of music that they play. Hopefully, it is the kind of music that you like. I want to learn how to play the piano. The type of music that I would play would be Bon Jovi, Richard Marx, Rob Thomas, Barry Manilow, Tina Turner, Carly Simon and Linda Ronstadt. I had a girlfriend once who sang with her piano playing friend. She performed standards, like "Sweet Nothing". The piano player wanted to teach me how to play the bass guitar, but I didn't want to. Now I kick myself for not doing it.

thats cute that you entered in a band^^ what do you do? do you play some instrument?^^ about me i would like to sing^^ and would sing romantic songs or songs also like a bit mix too^^ romantic slow songs or mix romantic ahah^^ but i would like to be in a band with a guy singing along with me^^ i think is too cute when is a guy and a girl singing^^ mostly if is love songs so i would absolutely love to be in a band like this^^ even the most part is just one singer or like 5 or 4 but i would like to be me and a boy singing and other ones playing^^ would be great^^

If I were to start a band, I'd also prefer rock alternative or pop rock. My personal taste in music leans towards the rock genre. And I think the perfect match really is band = rock music. I think a band's stage presence is really enhanced when the music being played is something that has an infectious driving beat. And it's really cool to be head-bangin' :-)

i love rock in roll but if ever ill be in a serious band,ill try to create a new style..it doesn't matter how it may sound as long as i do enjoy doing it,its the essence of music for me.having fun while expressing my self.
