"That's a Scam" ----- NO That's Libel and Slander! --- Must read----

I hear more and more people saying that things are becoming scam. I don't necessarily mean the PTC sites. We know that all PTC sites are going belly up a point in time anyway, so that's definitely not what I mean. What I do mean is people who say like, and this is just an example: Oh sharecash pays 20 to 80 cents per download and the competition only -say- 1 cent per download: "That must be a scam, no doubts, haha". The only one to laugh in that situation is those who are not ignorant. The fact that a site like sharecash pays more does not mean they're scam. ShareCash just uses a different way of monetization which brings in more profit but less downloads: surveys. Same stuff goes for investing websites: "Oh I have to investment. They're surely scam." So next time when you think things are scam... think a little bit longer than 1 second... There has to be just one company in your life who gets angry at you and your life might just crash.

Here is the thing though. There are scams and there is just incompetence and poor business. There are many sites that people brand as scams that are just poorly run. Perhaps someone did not renew the domain and let it lapse. Perhaps someone mishandled funds. Trust me, for as many seedy intelligent people there are, there are many honest dumb people in this world. They have their hearts into everything but something happens and thus they mess up. Of course, a lot of the time, if something seems too true, it might as well. However, like anything else, it is not universal. There are many reasons why sites go down and not all of them are scams. There is such a thing as doing poor business and sadly, there are people who don't think things through when they figure out the site. If they just do the math, they might figure out why these websites will not work.

I have been guilty of skeptically labeling anything to do with compensation and the internet (or mail catalog job opportunities) as a 'scam.' I do this because I've had my share of being had. So, I thoroughly research whatever it is that I plan to dive into. Investments are how businesses are made, so to think that forking out some cash in order to get your feet off the ground is a 'scam,' well, you're feeding into the corporate media fear-mongering machine.

I think you have a point there, and I think people should only use those words if they have proof that whatever it is that they are talking about actually is a scam. I have used that word about one online earning method but thankfully I have tons of proof of why, if they should ever contact me. So I agree. But I also think it is important to keep in mind that this does not mean that there are no scams out there, and that we should not warn others about them, because that is not a good thing either. Just make sure you have proof!

Sure, warning people is fine provided that you have proof. However if one randomly screams 'scam' it means the company is getting damaged and there has to be just one sod off company having the resources to litigate and it's bye-bye.

You are correct. You do not throw those terms around freely. On the other hand, if I site has not paid me after many attempts, then it is a scam. I tend to stay away from new sites, because I seem to have unfortunate results from them. I do not put it all over the web, though.

well what can i say you gat a point there. But then again you know more often admins close their sites and run away with our cash forever. I mean you must have had that experience at least once, Havnt you?

Actually... No. I did have one moment where I thought I was being scammed but that was just a change in displaying the amount of shares I had and them being taken over by another company. But actually, no I have never been scammed.

There are a lot of scam sites out there. However, I think some people abuse the term ("scam") and throw the word around flippantly, or don't seem to grasp what the word means before using it.

Fortunately to date I have not been scammed by any site, although who knows it can happen. However I would like to share how amazed I am when members even here scream Yeah to a site to then later not make what they thought would be a big hit and what is the first thing they it is a scam. Now how on earth can it be a scam just because it was not the site you thought it would be. Oh I don't know scam to me means someone took my money and ran.. Am I right. I am amazed by the way people freely use the term, normally what I do is avoid the entire discussion, especially if I am earning and or broke even with the site.

I completely and utterly agree with you! It's natural that people are skeptical but i think they should do their research first. Alot of sites out there actually do make money. You have to work for that money! Like everythig in life you have to work for it.
