Polluted rivers in Philippines

Philippines

Foul smelling rivers, rivers with floating garbage, rivers that are almost dry, name every water pollutants and the Philippines' rivers have it. Most citizens here are careless about the value of nature. Too bad that even there are a lot of environmental rules here, the rules are not strictly implemented. These polluted rivers are the main cause of water shortage in the country. Maybe all of the citizens will start caring for the different bodies of water when the "seas has turned into salt". Anyway the real issue here is not who is to be blamed but what are we going to do to save our rivers? Good luck to my country.

I love this discussion especially because there are very few people in the world who think regarding this issue. We are responsible for what is happening on the earth. If everything goes the same way one day we will become extinct and no human being will be there. So, the time has come when every human has ti initiate for making our environment good. Almost in every nook and corner of the world all of us are busy in making our own lives comfortable. I really appreciate because you started such a topic.

Thank you very much for the compliment. If only I have so much time I will devote my time being a volunteered environmentalist. Have you watched 11th hour? It will truly open your mind on how destructed the planet have been. I just truly hope that everyone will do his responsibility to the place where he lives, instead of being a part of the problem.

Its the overpopulation that is one factor. Second would be proper sanitation. And yes, government and effector groups should be doing their job. But its the average people living in those areas that should begin with. If given proper health education this would do wonders...Imagine that "health is wealth", its more expensive to repair than to maintenance... as always..mabuhay ang Pilipinas
