Do you believe in hell?

I just can't figure out if this hell is here on earth or elsewhere because nobody could really determine if here is a hell. Sometimes if you are living a life so miserable here on earth it's like you are in hell. Do you believe in this?

I'm not sure about afterlife so I don't know about heaven or hell either. I believe those terms are mostly metaphors to make people live an honest life and to me, this matters more.
