I need to know what works for you when it comes to oily skin, my t-zone is out of control :(. I have tried make up like bare minerals that ddin't work, and also blotting papers are so annoying right? who has the time to pull out a blotting paper all the time??? I need serious help, what works for you? and is it a one time application? I need something that isn't time consuming.

This is going to sound ridiculous but Clean and Clear Morning Burst (The orange one) really helped me with that problem. It completely dried out my skin, to the point that it would actually peel off.. IF it wasn't moisturized. I would wash with Clean and Clear Morning Burst, then used Clean and Clear Pore perfecting face lotion, and it fixed my oily skin.

Wow I have had oily skin for years and always tried everything under the sun to treat it and now to find out it was something so simple that could take it away. I am so glad I joined this site and read through these makeup posts. Now I am off to the store to get me some Clean and clear morning burst LOL.

My cousin has oily skin and tryed many things to attempt to treat it. Was finally recommended to get Cetaphil, a face wash. It really seems to work well for treating her problem but she gets a little bit a shiny-ness to her skin. Though if you do wear make up this woulnd't really be a problem as there are cosmetics to help control that shiny-ness some of us get on our face. When I say shiny I don't mean oily shine, I mean more like that look as if your face had just been polished with a high sheen polish and then buffed. Lol. I really don't recommend soap as it it tends to just dry the skin and dry skin can be just as bad as oily skin. Look around the Health and Beauty section at the face washes there. There are variety to brose. Seek out the one that best suites your skin type, and read it completely. You may feel overwhelmed with so many choices and price ranges, and you might feel that name brand is better but it's not always the case. There are plent at low cost you could select from, though we must remember the saying that we get what we pay for. As for make up like cover ups, I wouldn't recommend covering up the problem. Some cosmetics are oily themselves and can just add to the problem and make it look worse. That's why I recommend a something like a face wash or even a face peel meant to treat oily skin. Then you can apply some make up in your usual way. I think bare minerals is a great product, but just like I said, not to attempt to cover up the problem. I hope this helps a little, wishing you the best!

I used to have the same skin problem with you but since I use Clinique three step system my skin oiliness is gone. I wash first my face with clinique facial wash, tone it with clarifying lotion number two then apply the dramatically different moisturizing gel. I use it in the morning and at night.

When I was a kid, I had really perfect skin. But when I turned 18, my skin started breaking out like really really bad. It became very oily and prone to pimples. I've tried so many products, but only one worked best for me. It's Proactiv Solution. It helped sooth and calm my irritated skin and the oiliness in my face lessened. It's a really wonderfull product. Numerous celebrities have endorsed it, like Jennifer Love Hewitt,Serena Williams, Jessica Simpson, Justin Bieber, Alicia Keys, Vanessa Williams, and lots more!
