So I have some Jennie-o ground Turkey. I haven't really made anything but turkey tacos with it before. And I want to use it and make something different. Does anyone have any recipes for ground turkey. That is NOT too complicating and does not require hours to prepare.

U can use it for anything that u would use ground beef for. Chili, spaghetti sauce, burgers, meat loaf etc. If u don't tell your family they will probably not know the difference.

We started using it with our spaghetti sauce, its not the same as hamburger meat or sausage and it has no grease so you don't feel bloated after eating it. You might have to season it a little bit more but we've done it a few times and it tastes pretty good. You can even have two helpings because its so low in fat.

Just substitute it where you would normally use ground beef. We use it in chili, spaghetti, stroganoff, & mac'n cheese that I can think of at the minute. I don't make too much of anything that takes alot of prep time unless I'm putting something in the crock pot.

Hello CandyRayne, I too like using ground turkey instead of ground beef in certain recipes, I especially like it my chili recipes the chili is so much lighter and the flavor is great just add additional spices and flavorings, use your favorite chili recipe and substitute ground turkey for the beef, I get a lot of my recipes from the cooking channels on tv. Have fun and enjoy. Bon Appitet'

Hi and welcome to mylot! How about making a shepherd´s pie? Just diceand sauté some onion, salt and pepper it, add the turkey and let it simmer while you make some mashed potatoes (can be made with powdered potatoes). Grease a pan, put the onion and turkey and the mashed potatoes on top. If you want it better, you can add diced hard boiled egg, raisons, black olives.

Sheperd's pie is one of my favorites, I like baby or spring peas and some chopped carrots in it in addition to the other ingredients baked in a pretty casserole dish, or just a plain one will do fine and that goe's right to the table for serving. The ground turkey would make it lighter and healthier..the next time I make sheperd's pie I will make it with ground turkey..Good idea marguicha...have a great evening..

I use ground turkey in anything i use hamburger meat in. And I cook it the exact same. I use it because it is healthier though. I particularly do not like the taste of turkey as much as beef though. Sometimes I will mix beef and turkey together if I want it too taste better. I hope that you like it though, it's nice to have a different taste from time to time.
