Hello mylotters! Umm, Watching movies actually is not just watching literally but it involves feelings and understanding. The question is that, are you affected with the movie that you watched? Do you cry when you feel hurt in the movie you are watching? Have you noticed the power of a movie that will change your mood? If the movie you are watching is for sad for example, do you feel sad too? Maybe it depends on the person watching a certain kind of movie on how he understands or how he feels the movie. as what i have noticed, many people are touched of the movie they watched. There are news i've heard that there are persons who died of heart attack because of just watching movies on which you feel sad. If you were to ask? does the movie change your mood or feelings? can you manage or control your emotions after watching a kind of movie?

When you are engrossed in watching a movie, it will be pulling on your emotions. You will soon be sympathetic or empathetic towards the characters and you will feel what they are feeling. Most especially if the person watching the movie is emotional. I have watched dramatic movies and I have wanted to cry but I stop myself for fear of being laughed at. lol But it's more of me not liking to be seen crying. =D

sometimes, we could control our emotions in watching movies. But sometimes we couldn't especially if you are well concentrated watching the movie. If your mind is at the situation on hating to be called crying, then you can control your emotions but if you watch in a group and you companion is crying too while watching the sad thing in the movie, then you also tend to cry. If you are focused on the movie you are watching, you can relate the meaning of the movie and it can drag your emotions to happy, sad, or other feelings. right?

That's what I just said, right? You just restated it. lol You cannot generalize that when you watch in a group and one person cries, you tend to cry. It may be true for some people, like I said, to those who are emotional. But that doesn't apply to all people at all. Maybe you could say it is true because you are one of these people, but I tell you, it is not common to all. Some people cannot control their feelings even if there are other people, while some can.

that's what you call the power of movie. It depends on how the movie is created and how the creator sees the feelings that you can get on the movie. It is normal to make our mood changed because we are concentrated and focused in the movie or we understand and can relate on the movie of what is all about. goodluck to you!

There are some movies that are sad but I am not moved by it. I guess for me I only feel sad if I can relate to the scene I'm watching or the whole movie itself. Yes, movies can be very powerful. After all, these plots we're watching are based or inspired by true to life events- probably of that writer.

depends on my mood or what happened recently in my life and how much it can relate to the movie. most of the time im apathetic though except for comedies, love to laugh =)

You are right! Sometimes, it will depend on our mood. if we are interested with the movie that we are watching, then we tend to concentrate and try to understand the movie and feel the movie that is why you tend to cry, to laugh or other feelings that you will experience in watching the movie. It is because you can relate the movie with yourself.

Hi there! I have noticed my feelings change when I watch a movie and there's an embarrassing scene I have to remind myself I'm not part of the movie. I can't remember the name of the movie, but I remember somewhere near the end I was crying (and half trying to hide it). Sometimes I can manage it, but at other times I struggle to. Maybe it's because after a while your subconscious thinks you're part of the movie?

You have your point my friend! After watching the movie, you will realize that you are embarrassed especially you are watching with your family or friends and you are only the one who cried. Our mind is imagining that you are part of the movie as if the you are the actor or actress. hehehe. The funny thing there is you'll gonna realize after watching that you are crying. Sometimes, you can control it by not watching the sad part. hehehe!
