How to make friendsin my lot?

I've been here in My Lot since September. Now, I have 5 friends in my account. I want to explore more friends in order to have some fun. It is my way of interacting with them. But until now, I have this limited number of friends. How can I have more friends here in my lot? Are there guidelines to make friends here?

i think you just have to be active and keep on posting to gain more friends.
if you don't have much time to post here,well i think you can always interact with other's discussions as well.rather than starting new ones.by responding to other discussions,you'll be able to know more of other members and you'll be able to realize how fun to interact with them. you can try commenting to other responses also even if you are not the starter of the topic.this way,you'll know better who to be friends with or not...
