I believe many of us signed up to many of the websites in our search to earn money online and end up abandoning them later because we found that they are fraud. Do you think the information we used to register on these sites may come back to haunt us? How can these fraudsters used these information?

We may not share credit card, bank account but still we share information like our email address, the address we use for our paypal, our real name, address etc.

The e-mail can be misused especially in sites like paypal,as they have to find out only the password. Here there is a real risk,as you have mentioned.

Well, sure they could use your e-mail for spamming or similar things. Very often they also seel e-mails to some sponsors and they specifically ask you to agree to share you e-mail, when you sign up. Apart from this, it really depends on what kind of information you provided to them... and also what kind of site it was (put another way. who was the owner). It's always better to use different password in every site and an e-mail address only for subscription: this way, you won't find you e-mail filled with spam.

That is a good idea only thing is that if you sign up to get paid, more likely you will give them the email used for your paypal which is likely to be your main email address. I am not too worried about spam - services like gmail does a good job with that. I wonder if they can piece together enough information about us to do other things. If so, what are the possibilities?
