How does a Computer Clock Never Sleeps

Does any one know about how the clock of PC work even when PC is Shut Down?

It is all because of the CMOS battery providing power to the CMOS chip eventhough the computer is switched off. This chip contains the system configuration of the computer and if powered sufficiently by the battery will give you an accurate date and time.

There is a cmos battery in the mother board which stores all the bios configuration information and runs the system clock .
