I with my friends just went for a picnic near to the water falls of Athirampally in South India. We have been enjoying the water falls. Just then a group of young girls started to play in the water, we thought they all know to swim but suddenly one among them was drowning, others quickly took her out of water. No more play in water they all left from that spot. That reminded me of my child hood when I went along to swim and got drowned and somehow managed to climb up through the rocks in that pond. Have you ever been escaped from being drowned.

I am very sorry to hear that your friend nearly drowned. I have had a couple of scary moments in the water. At age 21 years old. I was with friends standing in a river. Then I lost my footing and I carried on down the river. I was very frightened and luckily I managed to grab hold of a branch. Then I pulled myself on the tree and to land. That was quite challenging. That same friends and I went to Crystal Cascades. There were warnings about downing but all my friends jumped in and went down the fast following water from the top to the bottom. I didn't do that because I had read how many people in the past had drowned there. I am delighted to say my friends stayed safe. When I was aged 29 years old I went on a fantastic trip to New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. In Samoa there I found a marine reserve in the capital city. I swam to a pole where the coral reef began. I swam out there and had a wonderful time seeing the colorful coral and brightly colored fish. Sometime later I looked up and to my horror I was far out at sea. I could barely see the beach I had left from. I tried to swim back but the tide seemed to be pushing me even further back. I went in a semi circle to try to stay out of the tide and its pull. Eventually a very tired me reached the beach. I was exhausted and I am now more careful after that scary experience.

Yes actually a couple of times (proned?) Worse still, is my family saw a poor guy pulled from the lake on a vacation. He drowned and had turned blue. It was very sad and the police said he had swam out past the boundary where you are supposed to not go.
