Got to thinking about making money on this site

Do you think ptp sites are really worth it? you make very little for alot of work on this site and it takes forever just to reach the tresh hold to get paid. I could make even more money by going out and collecting cans and cashing them in! For all the time spent posting you could be finding change on the ground under drive through windows or going to parks and other public places and find all the recyclables people throw away. And you could save your own aluminum cans and tabs and get refunds and be making alot more money than by posting all day. And you will also be doing our mother a favor as well by making her that much less polluted. This also includes the electricity it takes to keep your computer on all the time.

I come on Mylot and some other ptp sites because i love to help people and its really fun to be here.On sites like mylot we always get full help.We share our ideas and our problems too.I dont take Mylot is an online money earning source because we cant make more than 30 cents a day.Money is just a reward which we get by helping others.

Thanks for your response! I like your perspective about coming to mylot to help people. I like to help people too getting paid is just a bonus. The reason i came to this site was because i heard from someone you could make a little money on this site. But after being lured in from hearing the word "money" I actually started to like it here on mylot. I would probably be on here every day even if there was no earning involved with the site. I come to mylot besically to talk to people, exchange ideas, learn about other places and customs. I´m sure I spend more money in the coffee and milk of my cups of coffee I drink while posting than the money I earn here. I do earn some money inline though. I save all of it and have a nice vacation once a year.
I don´t see myself picking up cans. In my country it would seem odd (to say the least) if I did it. I´m a 65 year old lady, retired but with enough education to lend some. It shows somehow. My daughter´s maid, when I say I should go begging somewhere, laughs and says that noone would give me a dime with my cultured voice.
I do recycle though. More than for money (although you can save a lot by not throwin away) I think we should take care of Mother Earth so we can leave some to the next generation. We are awful pedrators.
I´m now rereading a book about saving and recycling and I´m also starting a nice veggie garden in my backyard. Not all will come out: I´m starting to lear. But all helps.
