I was having some problems with IE8 especially when using Facebook and playing games there. That caused me to try downloading the beta version of IE9. What a mistake and near disaster. When I tried using IE9, the browser would start to open up but then say that it was shutting down. This happened every time I tried to use it even after downloading the browser three times just in case there download was the problem. Getting rid of IE9 is also an unusual problem. Microsoft, in their wisdom, decided that IE9 should be installed as an update to the operating system, not as a separate programs. Thus if you try to uninstall IE9 by going through the usual add/delete program button in the control panel, you can't because you can't find IE9. You have to look at the operating system updates (in my case it was Vista) and uninstall IE9 that way, which took me a few days to figure out. Luckily, I had Firefox installed so I could still access the Internet and then re-install IE8. This experience did open my eyes some and I've started using Firefox at times, plus I've also downloaded Google Chrome, which I've also started to use. Have any of you tried IE9 and what is your experience?

I think you can download it to Vista which is what I did. Microsoft did not give any warning that there would be a problem and the program was added as an update to Vista, which made it harder for me to find and uninstall.

I used to be a dedicated I.E user but after several issues I had with the browser I plucked the courage to attempt to stick with FireFox which I originally hated. Personally I won't be using I.E as for me I just need a browser that comes with useful additions and I've grown attached to No-Scripts and other useful add-ons. Might have a look at it, as that still does interest me but using wise it's a big no no from me.

Hey I have not tried yet Internet Explorer 9. Because I think I am used other browsers so I have not tried this yet. I mostly used Firefox and Opera. Because I always get good surfing speed in Opera and Firefox. Before sometimes I used Internet Explorer 6 but I was not satisfying with its speed.

I may have to look into Opera. Now that I'm back to IE8, Im having trouble again where it decides to 'shut down' and then restart.
