I came to know that Diabetes cannot be cured permanently. Though Diabetes can be controlled and a human can live a good life by controlling diabetes, is there a permanent cure?

True, it can't be cured permanently. People with diabetes should watch their diet and follow their doctor's order. It would be tougher if the kidney already has been damaged because of diabetes. Before that happens, control and be strict with your diet, take insulin, check your blood sugar regularly to avoid complications and of course to prolong life.

There in no permanent treatment for diabetes. For me the permanent cure for diabetes is DISCIPLINE. Diabetes is an illness that can be control. You should be conscious on what you eat and what you do. You can prevent the complications from diabetes if will maintain your blood sugar level within normal range. TYPE 1 DIABETIC PATIENT: DO NOT FORGET TO BRING YOUR INSULIN AND SOME CANDIES. TYPE 2 DIABETIC PATIENT: LOSS SOME WEIGHT. " REMEMBER ALWAYS CONSULT TO YOUR PHYSICIAN FOR BETTER MANAGEMENT "

9/10 of type 2 diabetes are due to obesity : loosing weight can reduce the number of medications needed, and sometimes make them useless, as the diabetes can disappear when obesity disappears. For type 1 diabetes, there is sadly no permanent cure : in the worst cases the pancreas does not produce insulin at all, and insulin injections are needed during all life.
