Do you read reviews on a particular doctor before you pay a visit?

There were review sites all over the net. We just have to let our consumers, and general public to be informative about particular business, whether they are worth our money to visit or they are worthless. For me, I might check on a couple of local restaurant online to see which is worth my visit whenever I travel to a new place. I just want to see what other people's opinion, and combine them to evaluate the risk of trying a new restaurant. The same concept might apply to doctor visits too. You know, the health insurance is costly right now, and we definitely don't want to waste our valuable money on an inexperienced doctor. Places like kudzu.com, and citysearch.com is worth to check it out.

I have gotten where I do check into Dr. reviews. Often it is to give a comment. I often say good about a fine doctor that has had some not so nice reviews that i disagree with and find to be very good. I have had a poor podiatrist that i had hoped to make others think twice before using her to have any cutting done. I feel we need to be informed.

I have never looked for a doctor review, but I have tried to use online product reviews before I make a purchase. Sometimes the information in a review is quite helpful, but other times it might confuse you. For instance, people who have something negative to say seem the more likely to add a review. Then you have the situation where you read 10 reviews: half of the people think the product is a great value and they could not be more pleased. The other half are disappointed or even angry at how the product was not what they expected. So you are really left with looking at as many reviews as possible, and then forming your own overall rating based on what you have learned. Is that what you do? It is often doable, but it does take a bunch of time.

I don't usually read reviews before going to see a doctor, but it's a good idea! My boyfriend recently was referred to a specialist from his regular doctor. After visiting the specialist, he found he didn't really care much for him. He went online to read reviews and found that other people felt the same way. The doctor did not have very good reviews! If only my boyfriend had read the reviews before going to the doctor!
