people want things and want them now. " I want money. I want a nice, big house, a nice car, the biggest and best entertainment center. I want it all and I deserve it." Though today's "CREDIT CARD" society makes it esay to "get now and pay later," economic realities eventually set in, and we are reminded, sometimes painfully, that our purchases cannot outstrip our ongoing liability to produce. Pretending otherwise is unsustainable. the demands of interest are unrelenting and unforgiving. even working hard is not enough.

That is the bad implication of "credit card" people have no control in spending something on their credit card. That maybe good if the person posses credit card is a millionaire or rich

If you bought luxury things by credit card, you will get into high liability (debt). The interest rate charge on the expenses by credit card is very high. Thus, I said don't even admire people use their credit card on expenditure showing high social status.

You're right, but people usually know what they're getting into before they decide to "buy now and pay later". If they don't it's their own fault really. They should save their money, then buy what they want, unless they acknowledge that they will have to pay interest to buy it on credit and don't mind.

Those are true words. I'm actually a part of that club and I'm trying very hard to leave it. Consummerism has had a huge impact on my life and most of them are negative. Two of the real nasty ones are clutter and consumer debt. I'm slowly trying to change my attitude about money and my being such a consumer. And I'm making progress day after day.

Your right, we all have a never ending list of things we want.. And once we have it, then we just think of something else that we want. Nobody will ever be happy with what they have.

You are right! The best thing we should do is to be contented on what we have. We can really get impulsive buying things that we want all the time if we are holding a credit card. We can always have it instantly as long as it doesn't exceed our credit limit. Then we will just notice after some time of using our card, we are already in deep debts. Instead, we should just use our credit cards in times of real needs. Like if somebody from our family got hospitalized (hope not) and things like that. We should just save our money every pay day if we want to buy the thing that we really wanted.
