When I started having problems with my thyroid they told me it was due to my blood sugar, and that I also could eat more shrimp, and that would help, so I started in eating shrimp about once a week, as well as making sure that I did put salt on my food, I normally don't use salt. But on top of all of that I started eating strawberries for a snack, and it has brought my levels up.

Besides from salt, sea foods are good source of Iodine. Others recommend yogurt , whole boiled egg, cow's milk, strawberries and mozzarella cheese. It is now recommended that salt contains iodine. Breads are even processed to have iodine content so that conditions of the thyroid gland are decreased.
