how do you deal with idiotic people and stupidity/lameness in general?

well I've seen and encountered a lot of idiocy lately. many people try to be cool but they look lame to me. people dissing me behind my back because I know they're jealous of me and can never give me a piece of their mind because I've never done anything to offend them. I live in a "not so good neighborhood" and well most people who live there don't have much decency in them. as for me I just ignore them but there are times that their lame dissing gets to me. Good thing my superior thinking is above their pathetic prattling and I always manage to hold my temper. how about you guys here in mylot? how do you deal with this kind of human behaviour?
