Re-posting: Being paid with nothing to do

I placed my post on a wrong interest section so I am re-posting this again. I am a 23-year old employee working as fullt-ime consultant for an SAP-related product project development. So I am deployed in a multinational company. The title of the project has an "augmentation" word on it. So kinda understand why the load is not too much to the point that I have been doing nothing for the past 2 months whereby I am already 4 months on the project. Now you why I am an official "mylotter" (LOL!). The thing is I am tired of the same old routine though being paid reasonably for doing nothing (Well, for the most part). I am not complaining as I know there are those who have not been too lucky to get their own jobs while searching very hard. These are heartily sentiments I want to pour out. Being in the IT field means constant touch with the technology enabling you to learn more and more. Aside from that, I am an absolute loner here (because I am a contractor) who's been collaborating with an overseas analyst which worsens my frustrations. I tried doing simulations, troubleshooting and testings that is not part of my work so just to keep my skill updated and of course buy time. But not being to ask/share thoughts and ideas to/from someone else is so boring and of no thrill. I know, why not talk to my project manager regarding this? I am a newly hired employee of this consulting company so I'll just wait for the due date of this project before I can move if ever they want me to extend my stay here on our client (A BIG NO!). w00sh!
