do u watch news/tv before going to college/work?

In my case, it has become my habbit to watch news before going to college. I want to know what is going around in my country and internationally. I feel odd when i don't watch news. Do you have this habbit?

I have the same habbit. In fact, at my place, the TV is on almost all day when we are at home. Somehow the TV can cover the annoying noises that come from the street nearby.
But, in the morning, it's being a habbit to listen to the news. I don't have time to watch them, but I hear them while I prepare myself for going to work. I hear the news while I'm eating my breakfast, I even took a glance to the news while I get dressed.

The news is always pretty much on before I go out, as I tend to go out around the times that it's on. I don't really listen to it much, I catch the headlines and then decide which reports to listen too. Mostly it's the sports side of the news that interests me but shocking headlines do tend too as well.
I think I prefer not watching the news because over here they tend to spread doom and gloom far too much.
Everything must have a spin on it.
