We people believe that for each particular work we have a age for example we went to school at a particular age. We get married after a particular age may be after 18 or 20. They are fine because they need a maturity. But for tattoo is there any particular age? I mean to say that these kind of things are a part of likings. From my point of view there should not be any boundary of age for these things. What you people think? Give me your view.

you know, i actually dont believe in this whole particular age that your talking about--, i mean no-one follows it., going to school in a particular age/getting married at a particular age/... it doesnt work like that.. but i mean whatever you have your opinions on it, and thats fine by me,. people get tattoos like at 16 or younger. i mean hello,. this isnt a bubble world.,

by law in the uk its 18 years old to get a tattoo..... but you can still get them much younger and in a shop. i was 14 when i got my 1st tattoo and it was in a shop the tattooist didnt even ask me how old i was. i had a few more done before i was 18 but wasnt until i was about 19 when i got into tattoos alot more. but the problem was i had gotten silly tattoos when i was younger so had to work around them or cover them. so when i talk to any kids about tattoos i tell them to wait until they are 18 cos you will think more about what you get done not just get something cos its cool.

Over the age of 18 is a prime age to get a tattoo, but to those of you who have allergies, I wouldn't get a tattoo.

Hi Paul, For the tattoos I dont think that there are any age specs. If you consider this - in traditional India, many people get their names engraved on their hands or anywhere else and this was done quite early in their lives. Maybe it was because the procedure for doing this is quite painful and they believe that if it is done early you dont remember the pain. Not sure, but I do have seen some of my students who have their names written on their arms. But today's tattoos are more of fashion statement rather than anything more. And as fashion changes frequently, and we follow the trends more during our teens, I think at the right age to have a tattoo should be at least after 20-25 so that your mind has stabilized and you are sure that this is what I need and it wont change with time. Btw, I never considered having a tattoo and am happy with what I have. Cheers, theSids.
