What is the most expensive book you've had to buy for school?

So, we all know that the price of some text books (or most text books) are through the roof! They can range anywhere from 100-300 dollars. Sometimes you even need to buy multiple books.
What is the most expensive book you have ever had to buy? Do you go to sites like Half.com to buy them? Or do you go straight to the school?
Last semester I bought a used book and it was 150 dollars. That's a lot for a used book if you ask me! It wasn't even a large one at that.

I really super addict of Twilight, so I guess you already have an idea what is my answer to your question. Yes, its the twilight books series I actually used my own money because at that time I am working and earning well. So I have the capability of buying such stuff and also its a gift for myself because I bought it in my birthday. So that's my answer to your question. Maybe my next book that I will going to buy are the books of my favorite author John Grisham. I hope I could also buy some books of him,.

The most expensive book I've ever bought for school was this C++ programing one. It cost me around $175 for a new one. The book came with a disk and none of the used ones I found had the disk so I had to get a new one. The sad thing was that I didn't even think of using an online site to find the book. But this happened years ago so I'm going to assume that the price wouldn't have been all that different even if I did get it online.

Most expensive books i bought is for my major subjects in my nursing course. But it did not reached that price for I always find a good way to save like buying low-price edition books. It is in lower price since it is only a soft-bounded book with not so high quality paper and printing. so the most expensive book i bought would only cost about 30 dollars instead of 120 dollars or more.

I have had books in business that have cost around 150 dollars with them averaging around 100 dollars each.I think that they are overcharging for them and they seem to make the book a rare one that is not available on amazon or ebay.I tried to look them up on many sites and it is not available.Only 1 of 8 were available on the internet.This is an unfair practice and I think that they should at least not charge as much as they do with the books.

Yes I completely agree with you. Some books are really very expensive but as of now I have not purchased a book for 100 dollars. Yes when I started to learn computers I was greatly fascinated by C programming and software languages so I purchased a second hand book for 50 dollars. Thats what was the most expensive book I have ever purchased.
