hI DEAR MyLOTTERS, I know everyone of us has had their own dreams as kids.. Some dreams of becoming an actor or actress, a doctor, a lawyer, anything best.. Being a kid, we think everything we dreams of is not impossible.. But in reality, as we age, and become adult, those dreams may end up as dreams only, but there are people who does their best to achieve that dream.. So, are you the type who thought that your dreams and aspirations as a kid is just as impossible as it seem? Or, you already have become what you dreamt of becoming when you were young? I'll be looking forward for your response.. Happy myLotting!

I don't think that it's far. I think that it's an early calling though. I mean, you can't decide at an early age what you're gonna do when you grow up. I wanted to be a policeman but i ended up taking civil engineering. It's too early for kids to decide that.

Yes dear. You can't decide as a kid. But children mostly dream of what they want to become someday. It doesn't mean that we have what we dreamt to become as kids, but it still depends on what road we wanted and chose to take as grown ups. I wasn't saying decide of what we wanted to become, but dream to become someday. It may happen or not, actually. It depends.. Kids would dream. As kids, we can have some things we wish to become. Some people are be able to fulfill those dreams, some aren't... Thanks for responding..

I guess not all our childhood dreams can come true. Sometimes we have to give it away because we feel it doesn't suit us. As you have said. But, what is important is that we make a journey of our own. No matter how we have become, even if it's not according to what we have dreamed about as a child, but at least it should make us happy with life.. Our dreams would change through time.. But as it falls, another one comes.. Thanks for your response dear huydiet..

Hi, When i was a kid i have different ambitions and dream. When i was five i want to be a simple office girl because i admire young ladies who dresses very well and look very good and neat with their office uniforms.I found them sexy and elegant so i want to b e like them when i grow up.Things changed when im already on my high school years i wanted to be a lady police officer or investigator like i have seen on movies and tv programs.I admire woman who have jobs like this it is very impressing for me to have a job like this but when i reached last year on my high school i ended up dreaming to become a lady pilot and until now it never changed.I love to be the planes boss it is very unique job for women and of course very high salary for a job.I dI NOT REACHED THAT GOAL BECAUSE MY FAMILY IS POOR AND WE CANT AFFORD TO ENROLL IN AN AURONATICS SCHOOL.Also when i was still a child i really love singing and im singng on my own room and dreaming i am famous.I think that is only the dream i somehow reached.I am not famous but i never thought i will be working as a singer of the band and groups.I WAS JUST WORKING AS A SALESGIRL IN A WOMANS BOUTIQUE WHEN ONE OF MY HIGH SCHOOL FRIENDS INVITED ME TO TRY SINGING.i tried it and i become one because that is my job now and i love it.The job is not stable as sometimes i dont have job like today. It is a job that never tires me and i love it since since i feel like i am not working but just having fun, feeling pretty well and i got good salary unlike here in my country i can not find a job which earns me almost 1000 dollars a month. So i can say that is the only one amonth the many dreams i had before that somwhat became true.

Wow. You are a singer? That's super. I also love singing, but not to the extent like yours. I only sing on videokes.. Doing things you really love doing brings happiness, and I know how you feel about it.. Congratulations, you have become what you wanted. When I was in college, I wanted to take up Medicine after graduating from my course since my course was a pre-med, but of course it was just a wishful thinking.. Because my parents can't afford it. Good Luck on your career xena! Thanks for responding..

Well, When I was in my young age , I had have many dreams including being a dancer too after watching a nice dance from my seniors in school. It always thrilled me when I dream of performing on stage but I never got chance to learn or try for it . Then it was for being a musician and I learn t guitar. Never performed on any big stage but I full filled my dream relating to music. If I will go to describe how many dream I was having in all stages of my childhood then it will take a day to think and write here, but thing is that when some time I sit and think about those dream of premature thinking of being everything then I laugh and even get sad too... Thanks ..

I think it's quite okay.. You still learned how to play the guitar, and that indicates that you love music, and you can already be considered as a musician.. Playing guitar didn't always have to be on stage sincere.. Yes, I also think you have fulfilled your dreams.. So you had soooo many dreams as a kid huh? Well for me I only got two to three.. But I didn't go that journey in my life, but still, I am living this kind of life, and it makes me happy.. Why do you get sad thinking of premature things???

I can't even remember what i wanted to be when i was younger, but i'm guessing i haven't fulfilled my dreams. You've made me curious to what my dream was as a kid as it could be something not even possible to be or something that is very unlikely like a fireman or something.

Oh, sorry for the confusion.. Too bad you can't remember what you wanted to be when you were younger.. Well, kids would dream and dream.. But it doesn't matter whether we fulfilled those dreams or not when we grow up.. Most often, we walk through a different journey in life.. It's about what choices we make.. Thanks for your response joey_matthews.. and Happy mYLotting!!

When I was a young child I had a globe and I held it in my hands. I used mu finger to hop to different places. I saw the Equator, the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn on my globe. I said that when I grew up I would visit lots of different countries. My ultimate dream was to travel around the world. I hoped I would have a daughter and then a few years later a son. I didn't know what I wanted to work as. I often plays school with my dolls. I thought that a degree was very difficult and I hadn't imaged that I would go to university. I hoped that I would have a pet dog when I grew up. I dreamed of having an open top car when I was a teenager. I have fulfilled my dream of traveling around the world and to different countries. I went on my world trip when I was 20 years old. In my twenties I did go to university and now I am a primary school teacher. I got my first dog in 2004 and my second dog in 2006. I had my teenage son in 1995, my disabled son in 2007 and my baby daughter in 2009. I have an ordinary looking small car and it isn't an open top type of car.

Hi maximax.. Well it seems like you've had great aspirations, and most of them, you have achieved already..And to think that you were just twenty when you traveled, that's a wow.. It's a very good opportunity for you to have the chance to travel around the world, and I hope I could experience that too. Though it seems that right now it's impossible for me.. I have graduated from a university, but right now I am hoping to be a teacher like you.. Thanks for responding maximax..

Hell no, but I'm happy with my life now though not contented. As a kid I had many dreams. I remember that I read lists of careers in an encyclopedia. I picked all that applies science but a profession called oceanographer hit me. Ever since then I want to be an oceanographer but unfortunately there's no such course in here in my country.

Oh, that's it. ha-ha, don't feel too bad about not being an oceanographer katkat.. At least you are happy with what you are and what you have become right now.. But I'm sure you'll be happier if you feel contented about what you are now.. So cheer up, and be happy 100 percent dear katkat! I also haven't fulfilled my dreams as a kid, but I am happy with my life right now. I guess that's what really counts.. Thanks for your response..

As a kid I have always been realistic, I knew I wasn't going to be an actress or someone famous, so I kind of settled for the obvious. My mom always taught me that family and love is everything in life, that's my outlook of it in my opinion. So as I kid I always dreamed of finding Mr. Right, someone who would love me unconditional and would be with through the good and bad. I always wanted a family, not two many kids just (2) and always hoped for a boy and girl so that I can have my pairs and experience both worlds. I have to say so far, I am fortunate. I married my high school sweetheart 10 years ago and now have a wonderful son and beautiful baby girl. I would have to say that my dream has been fulfilled, but there is now so much I want to do and experience with them. I want to travel and see the world, do something with my family that as a child I was never able to do.

Wow! That's a very beautiful thing to do.. Travel to some places with your family.. As a mom, I also wish to do that with my family..I'd like my daughter to experience the things I haven't experienced as a child, so as long as me and my husband can, we always plan things, and hopefully it'll be fulfilled soon.. I also dream for a boy and a girl, but right now I only have a girl, I am hoping I can still afford to have another child, and I want a boy.. As a kid, just like you I never imagined myself being famous.. Only to have a decent and good profession, but I ended up having the profession as a mother, but still, I think being a mom is the most challenging profession every woman could have.. Thanks for responding!

When I was a little kid, all I wanted to do was to have small small pieces of land and grow rice and vegetables on them. When I told my dream to my pa, he sighed and regarded me as an aimless child. I didn't know why. But later I changed my ideal, I wanted to be a scientest, a politician, a singer and so on. Now I become a teacher. But still, I said to myself, one day when I retire from my job, I would work on a piece of land and grow fruit and vegetables.

Maybe your papa thought you wanted to be a farmer that's why he thought you were aimless.. But of course you were a kid then, your pa shouldn't have been quite serious about it. Haha.. Little did he know, you wanted to be a farm owner, and not as a farmer yourself.. You know, I also want to shift as a teacher, that's why I am aiming to enroll into a university again to take up units in Education. But not now, not yet.. I hope it'll come for me.. Thanks for your response!

My only goal as a child, and my only goal now, is to always be happy and always search for tomorrow. I have achieved this goal, and I continue to achieve this goal every single day. Honestly, as a child, success didn't mean money for me...It meant happiness and to be surrounded by a family that loves you. I still hold those values close, and I have achieved those dreams.

Good to know that you are a happy person. I'm glad also that you have achieve your goal, and to think that it was your childhood dream, I think you've done a very good job.. Yes, a child usually don't dream of something for the sake of money, but instead, for the sake of their life success.. Happiness comes from the inside, and it seems to me that you are living a happy life, and I'm so happy for you..A loving family plays a very big and important role for an individual. It may serve as a tool in building such good values.. Keep it up lilblondie!
