Make a Document into a Link?

How do I create a link to a document on my computer? I have a word document and I want to make it a link. Already tried google docs and that won't work for this document. Thanks for any help.

You should sign up on one of the sites providing free document saving and than you'll get a link. Alternatively you can add me as friend, send me message asking for my mail and send me file, i upload it to my server and give you link free of charge of course.
