If you are one of the believers, here is a radical proposal. What could genius people achieve if they could lived 1,000 years. If Albert Einstein, or Beethoven could live 200 or 500 years. If we believe the universe is (say) 5 billion years old, that makes God at least 5 billion years old. Now consider how much we achieved in ONLY 75 years (since the invention of transistors). From the birth of a transistor to that powerful laptop on our desks, in only 75 years. That is not just an achievement, that is a creation, that is a miracle. Imagine what could we do in 200 years, 1,000,000 years and 1 billion years. Now imagine the world full of people like Albert Einstein who could live as long as a GOD. If we both (us and god) given same amount of time, could we be another creator as powerful as god? Is that why in some religious scriptures we have been compared to god? Here is what i think , the most important dimension of our universe is time, given enough time we can be as powerful as God.

We humans are here on this planet for 200,000 years already and what have we achieved? We are still sharing most of our characteristics with animals. In 0.2 million years we have not yet gone beyond our solar system. We have not been able to cross the light barrier. How can be compare ourselves to God, who has created such a vast universe and we do not even know it's expanse as yet.

I appreciate you comment ddrt. I agree that man has built these giant birds, which can fly across the globe at break neck speed; they can take us from one continent to another at a rate faster than any bird can fly. Further, man has built powerful computers that can work more accurately than a human brain; but remember human brain is equal to 2000 computers connected in series. Our brain is not connected to an external source of electricity. We do not know as yet what makes humans tick for 70 or 80 years on so little fuel. How do we know whether the progress man is making is taking him towards happier times or it would spell a doom? Whenever, we solve one problem it creates several other problems. We have not been able to solve the problem of global warming, traffic, transportation, etc. Plant life had been existence for 100 times more period than us. They are more sensitive than us humans because they can attract rains; alter the climate to suit them, whereas we humans are unable to do so. Why they chose to remain rooted to one place. May be because they came to conclusion that being rooted to one place is a better option than be moving about all over. May be the civilization on other planets are far advanced than us. They have not visited us because maybe they too think that being rooted to their planet is better than visiting and conquering other planets. We have to wait and watch to know where this quest for progress would lead us.

If you concentrate on last 100 years or last couple of thousand years, it is ridiculously limited compare to billions of god's time. In that last 100 years alone we have achieved (the genius side of the society and not ordinary people like myself) enormously. We have created biggest bird ever (airplanes), many many times bigger than gods birds. We have created most reliable and ineradicably powerful computers, many many times more wonderful and reliable than anything ever created by god. And they all happened in about 100 years, or 2000 years (depends how to look at it). There are so many examples around us, we just take them for granted. Every time i look at technology around us, i am amazed.

No one can be as powerful as god himself even if we can live a gazillion years. I'm sure of that.
