Contemptible Congress has Contempt for the Constitution

As the temperature of politics rises, politicians start releasing a little more of what is in their hearts and minds. They forget some of that political shield they normally live behind. If you listen you will hear how some of our Congressman view the constitution. When asked about the constitutionality of obama care, one said I am not worried about the constitution." Another responded this way to the same question: "Are you serious? Are you serious?" Another declared that the constitution is wrong. Even more alarming, "There are very few constitutional limits that would prevent the federal government from (making) rules that can affect your private life." Adding, "Yes, the federal government can do most anything in this country." The people making these statements have all taken an oath which includes: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same ... ." We can see that some of our congressmen have flat out lied to the voting populace, as they snub the constitution that they are called to bear allegiance to. "Bear true faith and allegiance to the same" does not mean to place oneself above the constitution or to re-write, re-interpret or snub the constitution, does it? These congressmen do not deserve another dollar of taxpayer support. Are you helping to kick one of these cheats out of office? I cannot kick them out because I am a Canadian, but I know that many of my friends whom I talked about and were all so enthusiastic about Obama, are now seeing that he is not the president they want to me. I also have the tv on Fox Network most of the time, so they can see the truth about those congressmen. You are right in that those who go against the American constitution and try to change it do not deserve tax supported dollars. I do hope that when election day comes that the conservative voters are not stopped at the polls.

This is an issue that I noticed most during the health care debate. There are numerous "representatives" that are stomping and shredding our Constitution. They should be removed from their positions. And yes, I am doing my part as an American Citizen to do this.
