I didn't celebrate Halloween when I was a child and I don't celebrate it now (in my young 20s). My parents were -- no, are very overprotective of me, so the idea of me and my older sister walking around the neighborhood in the dark taking candy from complete strangers was not something that wanted me to be a part of. I kind of felt like I missed out, but it's OK now because all of that candy isn't good anyway. We also never gave out candy or decorated the house. It seems like a huge waste of money to me, so I don't plan to do so when I'm on my own. Then, in my teens and currently, going to a Halloween/costume party is typical. I've never been to one, but I like the idea of going to one because it seems like it'd be fun. The only thing is I hate crowds, and dancing, so I wouldn't have a good time anyway. I just wish I were the type of person who liked to go to parties because I'd like to be more social. The only thing I like about Halloween is the scary movies and TV specials that come on around that time.

Hi, Ajajejo. Welcome to myLot! When I was younger, I used to go trick or treating with either, my mom, sister, cousins or aunt. My stepmother used to take me, my sister and stepbrothers trick or treating too. Now, my kids only have a party at school, I don't really have anything here at my house for them. We just enjoy being scared silly on this day.
