Back seat Jack.

Do you think that when Jack became a back seat character in late season 6 and onwards, the overall popularity of the show dropped? i know Richard Dean Anderson had personal reasons for wanting a role that slowly killed of his character to leave the show, but do you think he should have more cameos in SGU and he should of been seen more in SGA, especially if he is meant to be commander of home world base. Just wondering your opinions, would it of been better to see more of the character Jack O'Neill, with two L's.

I know I started losing interest in the show when Jack was replaced in SG-1. By the time Beau Bridges came in though, I felt the show became dreadful. I just couldn't accept him as the general.
