Do you think animals should be kept in zoo or in sanctuaries?

I think animals should stay in their natural habitat in the forests. But nowadays many species are endangered and there is always fear of poachers in the open forest. So, if I have to choose between zoo or sanctuary, I think I will go for sanctuary. It is much more spacious and natural as compared to zoo. I have visited a couple of zoos in some countries which were actually horrible. But their sanctuaries were better.
What you guys think?

Just like you they would be better off in the wild if it wasn't for poachers, but if i had to choose from a zoo or sanctuary... i would definitely choose a sanctuary because its bigger and is more like their wild habitat than a zoo which is more for visitors purposes. I do enjoy going to the zoo but wish the animals had bigger areas to live in.
