My daughter was caught with cough and cold for many days now eventhough the doctor prescribed medicines are given to her. May be because of the weather change. do you experience such problems when ever the there is a weather change?

There is a famous saying in medical circle. If you take medicine your cold gets cured in seven days and if you don't that will take about a week. The moral of the story is there is no cure for viral infection due to which you are infected with cold what doctors cure by giving an antibiotic course is the side effects caused by the infection. AS you have noted We frequently encounter this viral attack when there is a change of weather. My treatment for the throat infection caused by this is by taking salt water gargle. It cures your throat infection to a great extent and prevents it from spreading to your chest area.

I would say at least a week. It stays in your body longer than you think and can feel it. That is my experience anyway.
