I noticed that name plays a huge role in our life, especially when one is going to be successful in life or even famous. Majority of high profile personnel tend to have really nice and strong impressive names that leaves a lasting impression in us. Those names are not common to hear in our everyday lives and I wonder how do those people come up with those names then? Also, people will try ways and means to pick a unique name for their child, to the extend of looking up words of different languages, translate them and use it as a name. It's a good gesture by parents but what if others are not able to pronounce that name, won't that make our kid look like a fool instead? I mean, giving them a proper name but not using it in a proper way. So naming our children is very important and it has got to be careful too.

In the religion of Hinduism there are so many Gods and different names are attributed to Gods.Even each God has different names. Therefore we name our children after some God or the other. We have godesses with different names and we name girls with some name of Godess.Even modern names are also names of God only.We dont even think of naming our children with fancy names. We consider the name of God brings luck for the child. There is so much of diversity in unity and unity in diversity in Hinduism. But some names are popular depending upon the local diety which the people of the area worship. We definitely feel that names matter in Hinduism...

Here I want to differ from you.It is good to have good names but names do not determine the nature of human beings. The human nature depends on various factors.Merely because one has a very loveable name meaning love or compassion .. in real life he or she may be very cruel. The names are given at the time of birth by parents or suggested by elders with good and noble intentions but the child may growup and have qualities quite opposite to the name given to him or her. What I say may be exceptional. But in any case it is always advisable to have good names

YEah!! I also notice that too! Especially those rich and influencial people, they often has got nice names, and even their children, tend to have special names too.. haha =D I think it's due to the education people have nowadays, they are willing to explore and thus having more choices in picking of names. Unlike the past, people just name their child upon anything they see.. lol =D

Yes, I missed out in that point of people are more well educated now.. Judging from the kind of names picked for children, we know how bad it can affect them. Nobody likes to be named after an animal or something bad.
