Can you use blogging to advertise a business?

I noticed that blogging can be used for many different purposes. Some people use it to tell friends about their daily activities, and stay connected with them by sharing stories. Others, might use blog for commercial purpose, to let other people know about a certain businesses existence, and the service type etc..... So, would blogging a business would be effective, do you think? Or is it already violate the code of blogging, because you already used for advertising as part of business scheme to inform millions of readers online.

Of course, a lot of companies are already using it to promote their products or services. They pay bloggers to talk about their business. If the blog is popular and has many visitors, then the business gets very good promotion and it pays the blogger for his/her effort.

Sure, why not? I have seen a lot of people do this, so it is widely accepted and I honestly do not see why anyone should have a problem with it.

in my opinion ,if there is no the laws that phobit these actions ,every one could use the blog that belongs to him to do any things that he wan to .
and blog is a creation of the internet as a new technology ,we need to use it well and find more useful information that can make people feel happy and get more benefits.
