I only use photos I have taken myself. You never know if you´ll have problems with pictures from other sites. My biggest problem is that most of the pictures I take have also some of my family members. But my new avatar is a picture taken by myself at 4.800 m above sea level. It was taken in my visit to Lago Chungará and the volcano is the great Parinacota, the highest in Chile. I change my avatar every time I go to a vacation to remind myself that I travel just because I earn online

Hi marguicha, I uploaded a picture from wikipedia which as far as I can understand, if free for the public to use. Do you think that's safe? I'd like to get your thoughts on this, since you're here longer and you've been really helpful. On wikipedia, it states: This file is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported license. You are free: to share – to copy, distribute and transmit the work to remix – to adapt the work Under the following conditions: attribution – You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor (but not in any way that suggests that they endorse you or your use of the work). share alike – If you alter, transform, or build upon this work, you may distribute the resulting work only under the same or similar license to this one. What do you think?

Hi jureathome, I myself don´t dare post any pictures that I haven´t taken. Of course I can also post pictures my family or friends have taken. But I don´t understand what does each site understand by copy rights so I prefer to be safe.

Hi calpro. I think it is better to use only the photos that you have taken, it's a little risky to use photos downloaded from the internet. MyLot has a guideline that states not to post copyrighted photos. You are putting yourself at risk for legal action if you post photos that you do not have the rights to. I've uploaded only the photos I took with my camera or with my phone. Please read the photo guidelines (in case that you haven't done it yet ). http://www.mylot.com/o/photoguidelines.aspx
