i went to a local computer store earlier to help my aunt for their PC as the motherboard broke down. while i was waiting there tho, i saw different kinds of monitors, from lcd to led and i was just wondering now about LED monitors. Is this better than LCD TV or what? Share your thoughts!

It is the same as LCD-LED T.V. LED is technically also LCD! The only difference between normal lcd and lcd-led is that the backlight. LED uses LED for backlight, but the screen is still lcd (liquid crystal display). But the difference in its display is crystal clear! LED backlit tv/monitors are much better!! Even energy efficient! But, costs too much at the moment.

The new monitors and TVs uses leds as backlight instead of fluorecsent tubes in standard LCDs, this is the only difference, a LED monitor has a little more quality in image than traditional LCDs. LED stands for Light Emitting Diode, and have several advantages over LCD monitors. If I'm not wrong, LED monitors are able to produce brighter colours and are more power effecient. I think they could be thinner than LCD monitors/TVs as well.
