Computer virus.

What is a computer virus ? Why it is so called that is I want to mean why it is called a virus and not a bacteria or fungus or parasite ?

Computer virus is simply but complicated program which is written in some computer language which duplicates and disturbs the computer function. I donot know the answer of the second question.

Virus, why? Becuase computer virus can copy itself fast. Its called virus because it can spread rapidly from a computer to another. Or a USB device to a computer. Isn't it the virus for humans are spreading fast too? Just my 2 cents
